This was a crazy episode with a lot of stuff happening. The pyramid in the desert filled with water & the origin of Princess Menace & the downfall of the kingdom of Amara.
Nanael just abandoned Lady Tomoe, luckily she had magic & was able to break out of that room. Good, Leina's alive & was able to overcome that spell that made her into a servant.
Princess Menace is working with Melona, now that Princess Menace was resurrected after dying 100 years ago.
Princess Menace was insulted when Shikuza blamed her for the downfall of her kingdom & for being a naive silly girl but Shikuza was right. Maybe don't be such a spoiled princess & pay attention to your kingdom. Even after all that she hasn't learned & is still more concerned with being pampered. She's really dumb.

What? Leina better not be dead. Can Nanael save her? Maybe Melona will show up & rescue her.
Claudette is a bastard with magic thunder powers. Does this even count as an official Queens Blade match. Nanael broadcast it but Claudette was barely fighting Leina. The thunder cloud general is super powerful.
It's too bad Claudette didn't beat up Echidna, but at least we know why Echidna let Leina leave. That makes sense, but if Echidna really wanted Claudette to become Countess she would have killed Leina.

It seems like Leina is the star of this show, so it really sucks to see her get beat up & taken advantage
of. Risty is not the benevolent bandit of the wild, she abandoned Leina so she could steal all the fight money, meanwhile Leina almost died in that fight with Echidna.
Leina is really naive & I don't even kow what Echidna is up to, she didn't kidnap Leina & return her to Claudette so it was really weird. All she did was hurt Leina in the ring & have her snake Kelta bite Leina but then Echidna gives her an anti-venom. So what was the point of all that? I guess to make Leina a better fighter?
Shizuka and Lady Tomoe were funny. I expected weirder bikinis, though.

That multi-arrow launching thing is cool, but I don't see how it could actually work. I shouldn't be surprised after silly Nanael & crazy Melona, but I was surprised when the Kouma ninjas merged into a giant toad. What the hell!? A toad? That's not even a scary animal. It was just weird. Lady Tomoe killing it was pretty cool.
I liked Shizuka's horned headband.
Those warrior priestesses all looked the same. Lady Tomoe should have a different outfit than the rest of them. Laina is finding out that her dad sucks. If he's so bad, that must make Claudette & Elina also bad guys.
We saw the current queen, do they kill her after the tournament? or does she peacefully give up the throne to the winner of the tournament?

This was a good 1st episode, with introductions for a lot of characters, almost too many. Melona is there challenging Leina for no apparent reason. Leina is lucky that Risty was there to save her. Although Risty was following her just to collect the bounty, which is a good way to get runaway kids.
They should have shown how Risty got out of that dungeon. The Claudette vs Risty fight was ok. Now Leina looks like my action figure of Leina now.
I can't believe they actually had Melona's breasts explode, not pop like balloons but explode with fire & smoke!
Nanael was pretty funny but Elina was creepy.
