Abaddon's Gate

The Expanse
S03E13
Season 3 Episode 13

OMFG, this show is amazing!

It was so good, the way each group was trying to protect the human species, and Ashford shot his Grigori, and that little punk Diogo stole the martian suit & was running around the drum. Just nuts, and Anna Volovodov was giving her speech, scientist guy was right, powering down the other ships wasn't going to hurt or help the Behemoth's attempt to destroy the ring so why not. Bobbie shooting at Alex, that was so funny. The end with everyone trying to get along despite all their differences was good too.

I thought Drummer was going to die, and it would have made sense but that elevator was pretty good too, I didn't see that coming.

I like how Amos decided he was going to protect the reverend & how he was sort of nice to Naomi again.

Oh no, the ring opens up into hyperspace, & rings into other systems! It's like Babylon 5 again, as long as they don't go looking for 3rdspace, they should be fine!

I'm surprised that Clarissa helped Holden at the end. They should have explained that a little better. It was a little too sudden.

What the hell are they going to do next season?? Now humans are going to explore other solar systems? On this show, we've barely handled this one!

Season 3 Episode 12

This show is so amazing.

I like how Amos was going to just shoot that stupid Mao girl. What an idiot she is. Does her dad even know what she's doing? I like how everyone is on the Behemoth, but I can't believe someone is stealing medical supplies.

How did they think that blowing up a nuclear weapon near the proto station was a good idea!? Why didn't they do it away from the station. I am impressed that the opa guy is ready to sacrifice himself & everyone else to save the solar system. He had just finished saying how Holden is crazy.

I really liked how Holden got up to hug Naomi. They really convey how insanely large the solar system is & going out in space the way they do has to really make you feel alone, that seeing someone has to be re-assuring.

It's so weird seeing Fancy command a UNN ship.

Fallen World

The Expanse
S03E11
Season 3 Episode 11

These Martian soldiers are so incredibly stupid. Not only are they blaming Holden for the lt. dying, because he was so stupid as to throw a grenade in that little room, but they are also scoffing at the ships going to the Behemoth so all the injured can heal. I didn't know that a cuts wouldn't heal in zero G, that's nuts. Spin the drum like Babylon 5! Every time they show the inside, I expect a Vorlon to fly up & rescue Captain Sheridan from falling!

How is everyone able to get on the Rocinante?? It's a military vessel, you would think there would be security on there, but maybe all ships have a manual override, for rescue attempts.

I like how Amos barely reacted when she called him family. It was a little lame that Tily was able to stay alive to warn about Clarissa but Anna showing up on the Rocinante was a contrived. I was hoping that Naomi would die.

How inanely big is ringspace that it would take months for them to leave under the new speed limit.

Season 3 Episode 10

I can't believe that the MCRN are that stupid that they would insist on arresting Holden during a damn 1st contact situation! And that moron pulled out a grenade after watching his bullets stop in mid-air. What kind of an idiot is he? He deserved to be pulled apart & dissected.

Good job Anna, she ignored that guy & then he shot himself. All she had to do was say 'stand next to me, you're not alone.' Then after she fails him, she tells people to be gentle with each other. She gave a good speech, it's too bad it came from a hypocrite.

I'm pretty sure I saw multiple rings opening into other parts of the universe before it shot that laser into the sun turning it blue??

Intransigence

The Expanse
S03E09
Season 3 Episode 9

What is going on? So there's an extra-dimensional bubble that destroyed the probe. Amos just threw the documentary people out of the Rocinante into bubble space. Didn't the MCRN ship pick them up & talk to them?

Hopper is insane to send The Behemoth into the ring. Why didn't the Mormons get their ship back? Isn't there a solar system court? They paid for it. So many questions, like did they Seriously ret-con Naomi into a lesbian? Is that from the books? Because that came out of nowhere.

The saboteur is Julie Mao's sister? What the hell is she doing. That priest was right, although, really? In the future priest's can have sons.

I can't believe that Holden jumped away from the Rocinante into the center of the bubble, he's not even tethered or using a jet pack or anything.

It Reaches Out

The Expanse

Season 3 Episode 8

This show is so great!

What is going on. Who are these psycho people sabotaging everything? She blew up the UNN ship for no good reason & then the blind camera man put out that fake Holden message for the OPA. What for? The OPA is already being recognized by the inner planets. Are they Earth operatives who want to discredit the OPA? I thought Drummer might give a 30 second countdown but she yelled "fire" immediately.

The documentary crew is pretty funny. I like that we are seeing some more of normal society with tv & stuff & the advanced technology of the camera man. I'm surprised that some of the cameras aren't automated drones that follow you. We have those now.

I forgot there was some proto-molecule on the Rocinante. Why is it talking to Holden? I'm surprised he was able to figure it out, I didn't. At least they didn't crash into the event horizon, but now they are stuck in time like the Andromeda Ascendant? or did the ring stop time to save them?

Delta-V

Season 3 Episode 7

6 months later?!? WTH? Ok, I get it, but I don't like it.

With all those ships approaching the ring from all those different factions, even the OPA, how the hell did they not have security for some idiot slingshot racer? How is that even fast? That sounds like it would take forever. That guy was such a loser, what did he think his girl would be doing while he's out floating through space. Man when he hit the event horizon of the ring, I did not expect that. It was like he hit a wall and then immediately froze, like time stopped, it was nuts. I guess it isn't a Stargate, it could be a Jumpgate though or like the ring in Contact.

Wait so Amos was a mob boss at 15 years old in New Detroit? Ugh, they ret-conned him into being bisexual, really? I hope they find a way to bring Bobbie back to the show, that would suck if we are done with her. I really disliked her at first but she grew on me, the same with Amos. I felt really sad for him when he said that Prax was his best friend in the whole world.

The documentary crew is interesting.

Immolation

The Expanse
S03E06
Season 3 Episode 6

This episode was so good.

This random assemblage of people who have been working in the solar system are basically a super-team and are going to stop the Earth-Mars war! They sent the message to Juliet & the president arrested Errinwright & man what a great scene when minutes after he said "I care about Earth & Esteban only cares about history" the president says that his legacy is now no longer the war. And that line about the mop. OMG.

Bobbie went to fight the proto-hybrid, and the Rocinante ran out of ammo to take out the proto-missiles so they are contacting Fred Johnson!!

Meanwhile, Cotyar sacrificed himself, again. I get not having something profound to say before you die, but I wish he said some kind of message to her or anyone else.

What is still happening on Venus?

The Expanse

Season 3 Episode 5

Oh man, this season is great. Fleet Admiral Nguyen nuked a UNN ship, there was a mutiny & the UNN ships were firing on each other. Admiral Souther is dead and Jules Pierre Mao is so evil, I thought he felt paternally towards Mei because she was like Julie Mao, but he ordered that scientist to turn Mei into a hybrid walkie talkie knowing that she's going to die.

The captain of the Hammurabi was right. Let the UNN kill each other, because attacking would only unite them. Her XO should have known that. I can't believe she offered a truce to earth ships.

Naomi is a mom? Is that a retcon, or where there clues the whole time?

What on IO!? Who launched those hybrids? Was that automatic? Did Nguyen do that? Somebody needs to broadcast to both fleets what just happened.

Season 3 Episode 4

Another amazing episode, it started with Drummer using hundreds of drones to turn the Mormon ship around, then the crew went to salvage stuff from a space battle & found survivors. Those stupid ungrateful Martians started fighting Alex, the Martian! It was such an awesome scene when they were at gunpoint at ops & then Bobbie shows up in her marine uniform & the 1 guy is like, I surrender!

Then they sent the recording of Erinwright to Anna & with the Martian to send to his people & a UN captain. Why didn't she send it to a news channel? I have to admit, the president's speech was pretty good. It was about unity basically.

Mao is evil, he's like yeah, we should keep doing this, after he sees that kid dissected a nurse with his bare hands.

Assured Destruction

The Expanse
S03E03
Season 3 Episode 3

Everyone is together! CrisJen, Bobbie, Holden! It's great seeing them all interact with each other. I know it's too expensive, but I wish we could see a space battle in this war. At least in Babylon 5 we saw multiple battles.

Bobbie getting ready to fight Amos  was funny, especially cause he was holding some tool in his hand. It was a little annoying when she threatened Alex for calling her darling, it's obviously something he calls everyone. I liked when Alex had dinner with Naomi. She's not in charge anymore & they are all totally behind Holden. Naomi & Crisjen need to talk more.

That sucks that Cotyar killed Theo. Is the fleet admiral working for Erinwright or is he just a non-thinking soldier? I like how Erinwright made Juliet feel guilty when he said that South America was nuked because Esteban was wavering which was because of her. It was really good.

Season 3 Episode 2

It's so cool when these characters who had there separate storylines meet because the stories all start coming together.

I thought Prax was going to die & the crew was going to rescue his daughter in his honor because they spent so much time on the tools flying through the cabin.

I'm so used to Star Trek that I forget they would feel the effects of inertia & flying that fast. Poor Chrisjen thought she was getting used to it, but Bobbie just slowed down. That was some pretty cool use of their missiles, but Holden is right, they just declared war on the earth & the UNN. I'm sure they will be able to identify the ship.

It's season 3, which means it's time to bring in a lesbian, because you can't have a tv show these days without a lesbian on it. Luckily the rest of the episode was good enough to quickly forget about her as soon as she was off screen, even though it was Juliet.

Wait did Holden recognize Chrisjen or is he just shocked at what he's looking at? Does anyone on the Contorta knew any medicine?

Season 3 Episode 1

What a season premier! This show is so awesome.

The Rocinante crew is still mad at Naomi, but now that they're the Pinus Contorta, they told Prax everything. I like that Holden was brutally honest about it but he did tell Prax everything that was going on & now they are going to try to help him. That was good.

It was funny when Chrisjen shot at Bobbie. Getting off that ship was pretty cool. I can't believe she almost slipped off the ship. They didn't even know where she was and she could see she was low on power.

That speed ship was cool too. I didn't even think of that. Do they have nascar in space? That would be so cool. You couldn't see much so I don't know how that would work.

Earth & Mars are at war! I was wondering what happened to the Mormon generation ship. I'm surprised the Mormons didn't salvage their ship already. Oh no, there's proto-molecule on the Contorta!

I thought we were done with Fred Johnson! It's a good thing Naomi didn't contact Anderson Dawes. that guy is dangerous especially because he has the scientist. Now the OPA is going to have it Proto-weapons.

I like that Holden told Naomi, that it was Tex who brought him back.

Woah, Julie Mao took apart the science ship like a lego set & kept them alive on the surface of Venus. So not good. it's funny that Prax was holding a little sphere like on Continuum.

It was a good speech, they even showed Bobbie the Martian saving the Earth woman from the

corporate bad guys. What a crazy system, like if that electrician got fired, do they just float him? There's probably no unemployment & even if he signed a contract, who is going to enforce it? Ware there space lawyers?

That guy said that Mao's ship was a pleasure craft, like it couldn't shoot them down when Cotyar left but how would it defend itself from space pirates? Where are the space pirates? We only saw space police once, near Mars. They can't be everywhere. When seconds count, the space police are light minutes away.

The Monster and the Rocket

Season 2 Episode 12

This show is so great!

They went from the funny scenes with Bobbie to that sad scene with Naomi trying to rescue 52 people. I like that it was children & young men & women. You need men in order to survive in space. That sucks that all those ships are there & nobody is getting rescued.

I understand how Holden wants to kill the proto-moleucule but Alex was sort of right. They can't do it. I'm glad he showed up to rescue the Somnambulist & that he told the plant guy not to talk down to him. Another stupid scientist who doesn't stop to ask if they should do something. Ganymede station is destroyed, his friend was spaced & his daughter is possibly dead & he wants to chat with the proto-human.

I really thought that Errinwright was going to kill himself. That was crazy how he killed that Martian guy & betrayed Avasarala. How are they going to escape Mao's private space station? Are there even laws for that?

I can't believe Naomi just left them. Are they ever going to find each other again? Space life is so bizarre, it's like being a pirate, nobody really has a home, they are all always traveling & their home can be destroyed at any minute.

It didn't make sense that Alex was able to use gravity to fly to Ganymede so fast. That should have taken days or weeks.

I can't believe Bobbie beat up that guy. I didn't expect that but it makes sense after he said she was being discharged. I'm starting to hate her less.

I think it's dumb that the ocean wasn't clean. NYC rivers & waters have gotten so clean that there are whales & dolphins in the present. They have air scrubbers & terra-forming machines in space, but nobody has used that technology to clean the ocean? That doesn't make sense. If the earth has been polluted beyond repair, then people would not want to protect it & earth should be regarded the way it was in Alien Resurrection.

I guess I can buy the homeless people but again I'm not sure how they still exist when they should be sent into space to work.

I was shocked that Errinwright confessed to Avasarala about working with Mao. I guess being so close to war & seeing what happened, made him change his mind. I like that he did that & wasn't some nuts politician.

That sucks that Ganymede can't be fixed but maybe they can start over? I'm not sure how that works that Mars & Earth are sharing the farm station instead of each planet having it's own.

I was surprised when it turned out to be Holden boarding that humanitarian supply ship. Those people had a good point. They are just trying to live their lives while Holden & everyone else are trying to save the system or make huge decisions that end up running over the little guy & the death of her husband turned out to be proof of that.

"Whoever the fuck you are, stand down & let her speak."

Mars should be afraid of going to war after listening to Deputy Undersecretary Avasarala. Is she going to pick up on that "not wearing a vac suit" line? That dude working with Dr. Mao heard it. I don't think he knew how advanced the proto-research had gotten.

I don't know why they were so surprised by the enormous crater on Venus. Eros was an enormous space station that crashed into it. Of course there would be a huge crater.

They spaced those poor refugees, that is so messed up. I thought something bad might happen when the dude talked about getting rid of inner planet people.

Thanks to Naomi saving that canister of proto-molecule, that psycho scientist is going to lead Dawes right to it.

Those idiots took over tycho station, I for sure though that Dummer was going to die, so it was great when she shot them on her way out.

Ugh, Sargent Bobbie Draper's is alive. I'm glad that she was an emotional wreck. All that tough talk & she ended up crying & unable to deal with what happened on Ganymede. That red snowflake was actually blood, so cool.

You want to be that real boy again, to feel how you felt before the world broke you. The safety of your mother's embrace. But you cauterized all that in order to survive. You don't want that back again. Stomp out those last embers & you'll be free of it.

How could Fred Johnson nominate Anderson Dawes like that. He should have known better. So was that kid out there is space waiting for Anderson's ship to fly by so that the Rocinante would find him instead of Dawes? If so that would be awesome.
