It's like a supernatural Jessica Jones except Maria is a rogue demon hunter.
Maria has a demon inside her named Abigail that eats other demons in exchange for being able to stay on earth & live in Maria's body. Her brother is a junkie. (I don't know why junkies are back on tv, they are the most annoying kind of people to have as characters.) The funny part is that the demon is attracted to the brother, so when Abigail is control it can get pretty awkward.
I liked the demon exorcism which is just Abigail fighting the other demon. She saved the Preacher's daughter & ate that demon. It was weird because it was in the form of some slug thing. No smoke or black eyes on this show. They had green, orange & blue eyes, hopefully they'll explain the difference.
I also liked the scenes where Maria gets to talk to Abigail like Limitless.
They temporarily saved a little boy from a demon, but it got back in, because the step-father kept beating the kid. That demon seems to be in the form of flies, so that will be gross when Abigail eats it.
I don't know why they broadcast 7 episodes at once, it isn't written to be binged.
