The Power of Grayskull

It started out good.

Faker tricking the sorceress, Spikor, Night Stalker. Skeletor attacking Castle Grayskull with an army of Skelcons & Hover Robots. Clawful with 13 Landsharks, Trap Jaw with 3 Rotons, Tri-Klops with 22  Jet Sleds and Beastman with 13 Bashasaurus (Someone didn't do enough research on that one)

Finally we are going to see an epic fight with Fisto, Clamp Champ, Man-at-arms, Teela & He-man fighting Skeletor's army! Nope, the fight was over in about 2 minutes. Hardly any fighting.

He-Man is heroic & sacrifices himself to save the universe & apparently dies. Queen Marlena is distraught, crying because her son is dead. When King Randor finds out that Man-at-Arms knew Prince Adam was He-Man, he banishes Man-At-Arms & threatens to kill him!

This apparently is the perfect time for Teela to make the death of someone else - all about her! She starts whining that nobody told her, even though she just heard how Randor didn't know. Then she whines that her life has been hard with monsters & magic, even though that is normal on Eternia. Because when someone dies, what matters is how it affects her. Teela storms off like an angry little girl.

This selfish Teela will probably have another childish meltdown when she learns that the Sorceress is her birth mother.

  1. Nice summary, though incorrect breakdown.

#1: Teela actually pointed out how Randor was kept in the dark.
#2: BECAUSE of being kept in the dark, and for largely the same reason, Randor and Teela acted in VERY similar ways.
#3: Teela tells you EXACTLY WHY they acted that way in Episode 5, which you've apparently not watched.

I'm in FB jail right now, I'll hit posts when I get out, but as far as the comment you made that led me here, the fact that they incorporated Roboto's laser attachment into his body is a moot and lazy argument. That Robot was neither 100% Filmation OR Toy accurate if you're going by the 80's toy line. The fact you made that charge ALSO shows you have no background with the Filmation series, so you shot your cred there; you don't recognize OR point out that when Roboto talks about Man-At-Arms CREATING him, it ALREADY took itself out of Filmation territory; Man-At-Arms DIDN'T create Roboto in Filmation's canon.

#4: Actually, you NEVER watched the show...ANY of it. You're relying on Youtard to think for you. Teela NEVER mentioned her struggle with Magic in her outraged speech in the Throneroom. It was LONG after she left the Palace that she made that speech. The Trailer showed it the way you said it was; means you NEVER saw the show and are relying on Youtards and Trailers for your information. This is no review; it's a freaking joke, is what it is.

I have ZERO issue with dissenting opinion; I have MUCH issue with the Faker Fans than NEVER watched the Filmation or ANY OTHER episodes and try to pass themselves off as fans in order to fire a Political Agenda.

Your Ignorance has been noted, for the record.

    1. #1, I mentioned #1 in my review. read it again.

#2, they are not the same. randor is a father who lost his son. he was rude to his son earlier in the episode & he is mad at himself, he is also mad at his subjects for keeping a secret about his son. he is the king. teela is just the captain of the guard, not his fiance. she has no right to behave that way when two parents learn they lost their only child. she is also a soldier & knows that she isn't told everything, because soldiers are not royalty. she also heard her own father say he was ordered not to tell anyone.

#3, correct, when i wrote this review of ep 1, i had not yet watched episode 5

yes roboto is not toy accurate. everyone has been re-designed. but not using his attachment is stupid, it was his main feature. btw, man-at-arms created roboto in the roboto mini-comic. (your ignorance has been noted.)

#4, you are confusing her pro-tech speech in episode 2, with her whine in episode #1. watch it again, this time, turn on the captions. https://imgur.com/a/I225udd

    2. Despite me bringing the heat, your response is well-organized and composed. I commend you for that. That being said, there is some things to address from your reply;

#1: "She starts whining that nobody told her, even though she just heard how Randor didn't know," is NOT the same as "Teela is very angry that Adam's Secret was kept from her AND Randor, pointing out to Marlena that she had an Obligation to tell her Husband their son's Secret," which shows that Teela wasn't just thinking of herself when she went on her tear, which your words contradict.

#2: That's pretty thin logic there. Teela wasn't just a generic soldier as you paint her. She was Adam's lifelong friend, confidant, and...most importantly, Protector. Imagine how YOU would feel wasting all that time 'protecting' the most Powerful Man in the Universe. All those times he was gone during a crisis, and she thought he was in danger, only to find out that he was NEVER in harm's way. Plus, as I said, she lays out the reason for her reaction in Ep. 5. I've dealt with incomplete grief; trust me, her reaction WAS accurate.(And this grief wasn't even over the death of someone, just SOMETHING. I can only IMAGINE how worse it is when it's someone you loved and cared for.)

#4: *Rewatches* You are right, to an extent; she ran that off in a long list of shit she was tired of fighting, LOL

Part of the reason I came off so strong initially is because while I have zero issue with dissenting opinion, I tire of the Faker Fans (not saying you are) who NEVER wanted ANYTHING to do with ANY of the iterations of MotU and are using it as a Platform for a Political Agenda.

There's a simple litmus test for weeding out these scum; when people are challenged on generic appeals (much of which is just canned Spam from 'sources' like Clownfish TV) they will retort with a list of specifics from the show that is framed in such a way as to show you they are presenting genuine dissent and some Agenda from a Youtard. The arguments will be pointed and well-constructed. I have yet to see a great number of those in existence. When you challenge them to present Evidence from the show, they retort with the most vile language and insults, or just dance around the issue entirely. Further, they refuse to answer challenges about the Filmation Show's Lore, which reinforces them NOT being fans (not saying they can't forget things, even I have to rewatch the Filmation series to catch up on a lot, including missing THREE Filmation callbacks with Evil Lyn on my first watch of Revelation, but they HSOULD know the Fundamentals, and I'm seeing even the self-professed diehards who LIKE Smith's show falling into the same category; it wasn't until *I* mentioned Orko was a great magician in Trolla that this began circulating on the Forum. I believe that Fans of SMith's work should be challenged as much as non-fans on Canon.)

It's ALWAYS the same points; He-Man is absent, Teela is butch; Teela has a Lesbian GF--which is not the case, but COULD be, Smith rightly left it ambiguous so as not to interfere with the story plot; Orko (or more often with these idiots, 'Orco') gets killed--while they say NOTHING of characters that are ACTUAL Fan-Favorites (UNLIKE Orko) such as Moss Man and Roboto, which shows they are simply parroting Clownfish; He-Man\Adam gets killed TWICE (which only a fucking moron thinks the second wound was actually FATAL, especially since it's the MOST COMMON NON-FATAL WOUND IN ALL OF HOLLYWOOD); the show is all about WOMEN ONLY, and ZERO MALES are present for the first five episodes, (when in ALL actuality ONLY ONE ep was female-centric and with good reason because of the way the set-up played) despite EVERYONE getting fairly even screentime AND a BIG MOMENT to shine in; Teela's indestructible and can't be beat in a fight (DESPITE Man-At-Arms saving HER AND EVERYONE else SINGLE-HANDEDLY not ONCE but TWICE), etc.

    3. So I DO have issues when people omit actually sound arguments for why they dislike Revelation and shoot straight (no pun intended) to 'nuisance' arguments about incidental matters such as whether or not Roboto uses an actual attachment for a laser canon. If that's an issue, it's fine, but it SHOULD be supplemental to actually sound complaints about the show as well.
