Cry Havoc Part 2

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E10

This one wasn't as exciting as the last episode but it was a good ending to a great 1st season.

The chase for the havoc staff was good. Skeletor showing the Dark Masters who is boss was good. I like him putting them in their place. i like that Randor softened up on his stance against the power of Grayskull. I would have liked a hug between Adam & Krass.

The fact that He-Man's sword can be broken is just a really stupid mistake, writing-wise. Man-At-Arms just re-forged the Kirbinite like it was nothing.

New Adventures! It would be awesome if season two is on Primus! Seeing New Adventures characters with this animation would be incredible. Then they could return to Eternia in season 3 to all sorts of craziness & more masters that were conscripted while they were gone.

Cry Havoc Part 1

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E09

This is what I always wanted to see! He-Man & Skeletor fighting each other like the old paintings. Plus all the other characters fighting each other. I don't need some complicated plot or scheme. Just a lot of action with cool poses, camera angles & explosions. I don't like that everyone has magic, but if it means more of this action, I will accept it!

The Menacers of The Universe or Dark Masters, I'm not sure which one the show is going to continue using for the bad guys but they had really great transformations. I think Beastman's is the best because it was shocking to me.

I wanted Evil-Lyn in a helmet like the original & I got it plus head wings! like Devilman Lady, Morrigan, Satanika) plus she got her own special power, Wings of Horokoth which is from the DC comics! black Teela had her Wings of Zoar.

I hated that Skeletor was able to break The Power Sword. It would have been better if he was just able to disarm He-Man. They better have a good resolution for that in the next episode.

The Calm Before the Storm

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E08

So glad, that Adam transforming into He-Man isn't a secret. I always said that there was no need for it. The secret never protected anyone. The royal family was always a target.

Usually kid show jokes aren't funny but that sand witch joke was really funny and it's more funny when you think about shokoti.

I'm glad they showed us the death of the black Sorceress, I guess she isn't black Teela's mom. She's dead so there is no reason to keep that a secret either.

Even though he tried to save his subjects, Randor is stubborn & unreasonable. I see why people don't like him & his guards are bad at their job.

He-Man the Hunted

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E07

It was weird to see Beastman be introduced as some human instead from a tribe of beastmen. I guess Skeletor will transform him. I'm glad they told Ork-0 that he's not the original wizard. Hopefully he won't be so annoying from now on.

Krass was super annoying in this episode. I get that she's jealous of black Teela & Adam's new destiny but she was being selfish. Her putting her hand on Adam's face in the net wasn't funny. Are they calling their spaceship the Wind Raider?

Orko the Great

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E06

I never liked Orko, but I liked how he was introduced here, but it doesn't make sense that this drone is so powerful. I liked the kids training. Ram Ma'am's elastics are a good way for her to slingshot around.

I liked that they introduced Collosor. It's interesting that Tuvar & Badrha start out as royal guards. I don't know why they are making the guards so incompetent though. It would have been better if the guards were just over-powered because they are human.

I really liked seeing He-Man hack away with his sword at Collosor, but that slow-motion scene with him getting hit in the face by his own sword was annoying. I didn't like the introduction of the word flarkin either. Also Krass saying that she had to rescue He-Man again was stupid, she didn't even rescue him once. We went 5 episodes without He-Man being incompetent or the butt of the jokes, hopefully it won't continue.

We Have the Power

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E05

Are they going to tell us more about Krass's lavender-skinned race? I guess He-Man has a new Lightning Strike power. They seem to have taken ideas from Power Rangers in order to re-use footage. I'm ok with the footage re-use, but I don't like He-Man shooting energy, NA He-Man did that too. It's a sword, not a gun. I'm not a fan of Battle Cat shooting energy from his claws either. No sir, I don't like it.

Stratos & Mer-Man are coming soon! Will we see Hawke or Delora? Will there be a heroic Aquatican? Mermista? or Princess Nami? Will Mer-Man start out good then turn bad? I'm also waiting for Skeletor to share the havoc with Evil-Lyn & Kronis so they turn into their regular selves.

Seeing the royal guards was cool, but them screaming like girls was not funny. It might have been funny if they were the bad guys, but so far King Randor isn't really a bad guy. Krass using her helmet as a chamber pot was also not funny, it was gross.

The Champions of Grayskull

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E04

I loved how they introduced Panthor! I'm not sure why they made him disappear though. Ram-Ma'am is such a cringe inducing name. I hate it. I like her character but I hate that she isn't someone new. Black Teela being the new sorceress was good.

I love that Man-at-Arms is no longer upstaging He-Man, the way he has done in every other cartoon. He was never the "most dangerous man on Eternia," he isn't Batman. He was never supposed to be the older mentor character. I really like that Battle Cat has that role instead now.

I like that Skeletor mentioned the Snake Men. Good way to set up things for the future.

The Heirs of Grayskull

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E03

It looks like the new He-Force is already working together & I like that they weren't arrogant. They each admitted their failures. The sword into the Grayskull lock was done much better here than that Revelations nonsense.

We saw Prince Adam, even 10 years ago, trying to defend the innocent! The way Evil-Lyn & Teela cast their spells is very cool. Then He-Man tried to use the sword to cut Keldor in half! Pretty good stuff.

This doesn't look like my He-Man but it has the right spirit & the intense action that I always wanted to see.

I didn't like that "test" about the sword & the scepter. A sword can be used for violence so the scepter seems like the right choice. black Teela's floaty headphones are starting to bug me. They look like tech but she's a witch. What are they for?

The Power of Grayskull

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe
S01E02

I don't think they really explained Duncan's defection or why Cringer doesn't have claws. I didn't like that He-Man reverted to Adam, but I guess it makes sense considering it's his 1st time using that power.

I like that He-Man used his sword, as a sword, on the drones, even if they only showed it in far-away shots. I like that Cringer is brave, even without his claws. I like that not anybody can use the sword.

Wow, Keldor is killing people, I didn't expect that. Evil-lyn's magic use is also cool. Even though I don't like that Ram-Man is a girl now, I am liking this character's personality. She reminds me of Astrid from HTTYD. There is a lot to like on this show.

The Sword of Grayskull

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe

S01E01

I was surprised to find out that I enjoyed this episode.

Sure, it was annoying that they blackwashed Teela & that they gender swapped Ram-Man into being a girl. There are so many other female characters they could have used instead. I still hate that He-Man "skips leg day" I do not understand that design decision at all. I wish Evil-Lyn's helmet resembled her classic helmet, at least a little bit. I wished He-Man had used the sword like a sword against the drones instead of a baseball bat.

However, as a multiverse version of He-Man, it was not bad at all. It didn't insult the viewers or the characters. His transformation was way better than the Revelations Sailor Moon transformation. I thought it was funny that the tiger tribe doesn't like magic or technology. It’s interesting that people don't like King Randor.

And so far, this Adam is straight with 2 love interests.

The Forge at the Forest of Forever

It was cool to see He-Ro, Vikor, Wun-Dar & Kuduk Ungol. It's too bad she wasn't on a Battle Raptor instead of that chicken dinosaur (I've never liked chicken dinosaurs).

King Grayskull is a blond White man so black-washed King Grayskull was distracting. There was no reason to blackwash White King Grayskull. But Netflix didn't actually want to show more black characters because Clamp Champ was only in the whole show for 1 minute. They just want to erase the White characters by making two characters black.

I forgot about Roboto's heart, but they reminded us & it looks nothing like a heart. So they never should have reminded us. But they killed him, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway. He-Ro was supposed to forge the sword, but we can't have a White man help save the day.

Skeletor was ok, until he turned into The Joker to say "ya did good Lynny" wasn't there any voice direction on this show??

I don't know why they decided to do this Greek mythology thing of being able to travel to "Heaven" but for some reason they decided that this place is called Preternia. It doesn't make any sense. Preternia is the past, not Elysium. Anyway, they go to "Heaven" & Teela is still self-centered even when talking to dead Prince Adam. She just can't stop.

It doesn't matter that they are in Heaven, Teela has to save Adam, of course. He-man leaves Elysium & you think that the show is going to be normal again now that Teela "saved the day" but she didn't, because she lets Prince Adam get murdered. So if you thought He-Man was going to be back, the show wanted you to get that notion out of your mind now.

So the final body-count on this awful show:

Faker dead
Moss Man dead
He-Man dead
Orko dead
Roboto dead
Prince Adam dead

Kevin Smith wasn't lying when he said he wasn't a fan.

Land of The Dead

I'm no longer excited to see things in this show, because they are going to be ruined.

Even in the 80s show it was well known that Orko was a skilled magician on Trolla, his magic didn't work correctly on Eternia without his wand, that he lost when he arrived. But this is MOTU Revelation & every male has to be broken down. Revelations Orko was an incompetent buffoon his whole life. And why would a Trollan nursery rhyme mention Scareglow?

Then Teela's fear is that He-Man told "everyone" his secret, but it was only 3 people. She can't stop being self-centered for 1 episode. And somehow even Scareglow is scared of her. He should be, once a female character is turned into a Mary Sue, there's no stopping her. If this show is trying to say that Teela is super-human because she is magical by birth, that would explain a lot, but it doesn't make sense considering that there is supposedly no magic (even though there seems to be plenty). And when Teela-Na took over from Kuduk Ungol to became sorceress she had no magical ability.

Roboto finally took off that dumb poncho, but instead of using his laser-axe or twin laser gun, he's just shooting blasts out of his wrist. so that was another disappointment. And he can't defeat the shadow demons without Andra's help. Not even the male robot is safe from Netflix feminism.

I don't know why they decided to change Subternia to be the "land of the dead" it isn't. It's where Whiplash's people the Caligars live & where Lord Dactys & the Speleans lives. But this is written by people who don't know anything about He-Man.

Seeing the Eternia Playset was cool, I can only hope they don't try to ruin it next episode by saying it was built by slaves or it's 3 patriarchal phallic symbols.

The Most Dangerous Man on Eternia

The let-downs continue. Yay Mer-Man, oh he's easily beaten by Man-At-Arms. Yay Roboto, oh he's now a clone of Man-At-Arms. Yay, Tri-Klops vs Beastman, oh Tri-Klops doesn't use his sword, I guess he thinks swords are magic??

"My sun & my moon"? The Game of Thrones reference was really creepy & incestuous. Mark Hamill was good as Skeletor in Episode 1, but in this episode he reverted to The Joker; it was really distracting. Then we get Evil-Lyn turning into Harley Quinn talking about how she wasted her life being with Skeletor.

Just like in some Batman & Superman comics, everyone is insulting the two most important characters. Both He-Man & Skeletor are insulted & disrespected throughout this episode by everyone. Teela disrespects her own father calling him a "broken old man" and she calls him Duncan instead of dad. Even in the flashback, He-Man is rescued by Man-at-Arms & Teela! Again, a normal human, Teela, beating an Aquatican - under water! The show has nothing but contempt for the straight men.

There's no magic left, but Orko is wasting it on light & Evil-Lyn is using her magic like it's normal. And the injured/scarred eye is overdone on this show.

They also keep talking as if they were vigilantes going on adventures. Teela was the captain of the guard, she was a soldier, not an adventurer. He-Man was not some guy going on random adventures, he was protecting Castle Grayskull & the entire Universe, but they talk about it like it was some thing they did for fun. Whoever wrote this obviously doesn't know what this IP is about.

Poisoned Chalice

This show is turning out to be a roller-coaster of excitement & let-downs. Something cool shows up on screen only to be ruined.

It was great to see Stinkor, but then he exhaled his stench which is not how his power works.

It was great to see Blast Attack finally in a cartoon! Tri-Klops being a cult leader of tech worshipers was interesting but I didn't like Whiplash being turned into a cyborg. They should have used Twistoid or Strongarm instead; that would have made more sense.

They don't even mention how much time had passed since the 1st episode.

Not only did they turn White redhead Lieutenant Andra, black, she's now an engineer. She has nothing in common with Andra except the name, she should have just been the woman from Veridas. Then black-washed Andra started talking like she was from She-Ra & the Princesses of Power. After all the queer-baiting in the rest of this episode, it's clear Revelations is a "spiritual" successor to that show & not the original He-man cartoon from the 80s.

I don't like seeing 2 humans able to over-power robots, cyborgs & mutants. Teela & Andra don't have super-strength so they should have been using strategy not brute force. They did it with Stinkor too. Teela's Swiss Army staff was also annoying. Cringer's name is even more appropriate because that speech about He-Man leaving Eternia in Teela's care was super cringe.

The Power of Grayskull

It started out good.

Faker tricking the sorceress, Spikor, Night Stalker. Skeletor attacking Castle Grayskull with an army of Skelcons & Hover Robots. Clawful with 13 Landsharks, Trap Jaw with 3 Rotons, Tri-Klops with 22  Jet Sleds and Beastman with 13 Bashasaurus (Someone didn't do enough research on that one)

Finally we are going to see an epic fight with Fisto, Clamp Champ, Man-at-arms, Teela & He-man fighting Skeletor's army! Nope, the fight was over in about 2 minutes. Hardly any fighting.

He-Man is heroic & sacrifices himself to save the universe & apparently dies. Queen Marlena is distraught, crying because her son is dead. When King Randor finds out that Man-at-Arms knew Prince Adam was He-Man, he banishes Man-At-Arms & threatens to kill him!

This apparently is the perfect time for Teela to make the death of someone else - all about her! She starts whining that nobody told her, even though she just heard how Randor didn't know. Then she whines that her life has been hard with monsters & magic, even though that is normal on Eternia. Because when someone dies, what matters is how it affects her. Teela storms off like an angry little girl.

This selfish Teela will probably have another childish meltdown when she learns that the Sorceress is her birth mother.
