Andromeda
S01E15
Season 1 Episode 15
So some psycho architect was keeping himself alive for 300 years using clones. That was bizarre. Especially because he's just an architect not a geneticist. It was also bizarre that Dylan would let the Great Compass off scot-free after 300 years of ruling that planet like a despot.
The timeline didn't make much sense. The fall of the systems commonwealth happened after Dylan & Rhade were best friends but the architect made it seem like it happened right after they killed the tyrant who was in charge of the planet. So that was wrong because that was the mission where Dylan met his 1st officer.
So now we know that Trance can see the future, which is why she shouldn't be using the slipstream drive.
Tyr & Becca getting close was pretty funny. He sure did make a romantic dinner, so despite his claims, he wanted to bang her.

Harper 2.0
Andromeda
S01E14
Season 1 Episode 14
I like that he was able to speak Magog & insulted Rev Bem! That was funny. I was wondering how the hell the Magog achieved interstellar travel with those claws. Maybe it's because of that energy being. That was an interesting development.
S01E14
Season 1 Episode 14

It's dumb that Harper would build a working replica of an ancient earth ship. It would have been better if he had built something useful instead.
He even knew how to speak Trance! That means she isn't that much of a mystery because the systems library has her language in their archives.
It's funny that Conan showed up but I don't like how he had all this tech that nobody else has, They weren't even surprised when he used it to phase through the floors.

Music of a Distant Drum
Andromeda
S01E13
Season1 Episode 13
Tyr is the worst Nietzschean ever. He was ready to start banging boy haircut Yvaine, even though he already has a wife that he abandoned. I hope that Nietzschean woman aborted his child so she's not another single mom. But that'll teach her, burn the coal, pay the toll.
S01E13
Season1 Episode 13

So lame that he stole the Drago Museveni mummy. Who is that guy anyway? Did he bring Nietzsche beliefs out into space or was he the founder of some Nietzsche planet? Did he genetically alter people to have those forearm bones? They never said why he was important.

The Mathematics of Tears
Andromeda
S01E12
Season 1 Episode 12
These sentient AI ships may seem like a good idea but this episode shows how it's a terrible idea. How did the ships not rebel & try to get AI rights in the commonwealth?
S01E12
Season 1 Episode 12

The Pax replicated the crew using their dna & created android copies of them! After she killed them all because she was banging the captain! That's just nuts. The fact that a sentient AI has the ability to launch nova bombs? The Pax didn't use a nova bomb, but seeing as how she was the only one on board she could have.
They didn't really explain why the slipstream drive was missing though. So was that ship killing everyone who entered that system for 300 years?! Also nuts.
AI ships should be outlawed in the new commonwealth.

The Pearls That Were His Eyes
Andromeda
S01E11
Season 1 Episode 11
I like that even after the fall of the commonwealth, there is space mail and there are corporations, I'm surprised that they own shares in those corporations considering that technically they are the competition.
She did a good job of being on Flash, which seemed like some kind of speed I guess. Her nano-hair coloring was weird, because I bet she never changes her hair color again.
If the message is 3 years old does that mean that Becca has been away from civilization for 3 years or do they mean the Andromeda? or maybe it took that long for the message to get to them? and how does she know about Sam Profit but not the message if he became Sam Profit after the message was sent? That didn't make any sense.

All Great Neptune's Ocean
Andromeda
S01E10
Season 1 Episode 10
I'm surprised that any air or water breathers on Castalia would believe that story that the Nietzscheans killed themselves, when everyone knows that they would never do that.
Captain Hunt got the Castalian Republic to sign the SC charter. Is it the same as the old one? Or is he putting in new stuff in it? It's been 300 years, the universe has changed.
Sorry but I have to agree with President Lee. Killing the Nietzscheans like that is the only way to deal with them. and ugh Tyr can really act like a child sometimes.

A Rose in the Ashes
Andromeda
S01E09
Season 1 Episode 9
Trance is once again showing she's some god-like alien or from the future.
I'm surprised that Dylan chose the Arazians to approach like that. He should have known what their laws were like or at least he should do research into their history during the Long Night & if their society has changed.
Prison planets are a bad idea, especially if you don't allow the prisoners to create their own society. That's just poorly thought out. I hope Dylan prioritizes that in his new commonwealth.
I'm surprised that they think criminal behavior is genetic. You would think they would have better science in the future.

The Banks of the Lethe
Andromeda
S01E08
Season 1 episode 8
What's crazy is that they don't have teleporters but not only did Seamus make the Perseids experimental transporter work he then modified it to travel through time! It's too much of a coincedence that the Nietzcheans attacked at the same time 300 years apart. Their record-keeping is way better than the commonwealth because the Andromeda wasn't able to find out what happened to the Starry Wisdom after this encounter.
I think it's really stupid that Dylan chose to return to the future instead of staying with Sara in the past. Rebuilding the commonwealth is more important than her? Then he doesn't really love her, does he?
Why do they bother with these time travel episodes if they aren't going to change anything.

The Ties That Blind
Andromeda
S01E07
Season 1 Episode 7
It's a big universe, of course there is no way that Beka's brother would just happen to run into them. I also noticed that they asked for the Andromeda Ascendant by name, but I figured that people had heard about him somehow.
i like that there are still organizations that exist, even though the commonwealth doesn't. The Free Trade Alliance & the Restorians make sense too. The Narwhal's lament got blown up!
I knew they were pulling a con when Andromeda told Beka that everyone could hear them & they kept talking about the Andromeda command codes.

Angel Dark, Demon Bright
Andromeda
S01E06
Season 1 Episode 6
I liked that the Andromeda was taking about how she's a war ship. She sure seemed sentient to me. It was cool how the Andromeda became the angel of death releasing the fires of hell to destroy all those Nietzchean ships.
"Slipstream, it's not the best way to travel faster than light, it's the only way."
Trance should not be piloting the slipstream. She cut off a huge branch of that bonsai tree, so maybe she took them into the past on purpose. Tyr flirting with Becca was weird.
Why is Captain Hunt even debating this? It's the middle of the Nietzschean-Commonwealth war, the beginning of the Long Night & he's debating whether to kill 100 Nietzschean ships? Right after they destroyed the Renewed Valor with with his ex-lover Borotep Yeshgar on board. What is wrong with him. He's seen what happens because of the stupid Nietzscheans.

Double Helix
Andromeda
S01E05
Season 1 episode 5
I liked that Dylan finally learned how to deal with Nietzscheans. I guess when they were part of the Systems Commonwealth, he didn't really have to worry about them, aside from cheating at a board game. Now there is nothing keeping them in line. I like how Tyr kept all his options open until the very end.
I am surprised though that Tyr abandoned Freya Rajput. They got married, I thought he might find a way to bring his wife aboard the ship plus she might already be pregnant. They made such a big deal that the most important thing to a Nietzchean is to be a husband & father, then he just abandons her. That was a big fail on his part. He should have left with orca pride instead of dylan.
I was wrong, we saw the bug people again. The Than Hegemony are apparently still powerful & are ready to join the Commonwealth again! That will make things easier for Captain Hunt.
I like that the Andromeda has Lancer drop pods which are more militarized than escape pods, but not fighter ships. That was cool, like Space: Above & Beyond.

D Minus Zero
Andromeda
S01E04
Season 1 Episode 4
This was a pretty good episode where Captain Hunt dealt with the crew & established his authority. It was pretty good how he had the stand off in medical with Becca, then Trance, Harper & The Magog chose to stay with him! She wasn't expecting that. It was pretty good & so was him talking to the people in private.
Becca was right that there is no back up, nobody to call when they need help.
I'm surprised the Eureka Maru was strong enough to fly around that gas giant. I thought they weren't going to show us the enemy ship but they did. Then it blew itself up. I like that they are setting up some stuff for later episodes.

To Loose the Fateful Lightning
Andromeda
S01E03
Season 1 Episode 3
As much as I dislike Rev Ben, he had a good argument with Nassan. When he pointed out that she had gone an hour without killing him, which meant she could go longer.
A bunch of kids & teenagers have been holding High Guard Station GS-92196 for 300 years?? They were smart & capable if the Magog & the Nietzcheans couldn't defeat them. Plus those little savages were keeping body parts of Magog & Nietzcheans as trophies! They didn't even have access to those fighters. I like how the fighters have the same shape as the Andromeda Ascendant.
Then they actually used the nova bomb & destroyed the Dyhedra system! They made the sun go nova & killed everyone in that solar system!
I forgot that Seamus made the ship made flesh so soon in the show. She was just walking around naked nbd.
I hated that they just destroyed all the fighters & the nova bombs in slipstream. If the Andromeda was able to remotely take command & make all the pilots eject, she could have just flew them all back to the hangar.

An Affirming Flame
Andromeda
S01E02
Season 1 Episode 2
I'm surprised they even cared that they were heading towards the black hole, he survived on the event horizon for centuries, why not do it again. I am also surprised that they used so many nova bombs. How did Dylan know how many he needed to use? Did he use them all? Is he all out of them?
S01E02
Season 1 Episode 2

I like that Tyr is hostile towards the Magog. Even centuries later they don't get along.
That was really weird that the bat man would destroy the Andromeda, he could have figured out some way to kill Dylan. I like his High Guard staff. I forgot that it also shoots lasers. Trance just came back from the dead? What is her deal?
That's good that 4 people were necessary. They had to be part of his crew in order to even deploy the nova bombs. Destroying a star? When was the Systems Commonwealth even using those bombs?

Under the Night
Andromeda
S01E01
Season 1 Episode 1
I like how they had so many people on the ship to show how enormous the Andromeda Ascendent is. So many people for just 1 episode. It sucks that we may not see the bug navigator again.

I don't get how a ship can be frozen in time in the event horizon of a black hole, I thought those things sucked everything into them. They made it seem like a kitchen sink & he got stuck in the drain catcher.
His 1st officer was right, use the nova bomb or put all the Nietzcheans in the brig. The systems commonwealth made an agreement with the Magog? They eat sentient beings & they just rape each other. How these savages have space travel I don't know.
Then the Eureka Maru shows up & has a Magog on it!!
