Falling Water
S01E10
Season 1 Episode 10
Instead of a crazy dream we got a frustrating Groundhog Day episode. I guess they were running out of money & it was cheaper to film the same scenes 3 times. The Twin Peaks dream sequence was more interesting & had more meaning than this entire season.
James can travel through time & that's what he does with it? It was all so stupid & the fat guy was making himself out to be the good guy. Maybe he was. He helped Tess find her son, Burton was auctioning the kid off & Taka betrayed her to the green sneakers in one of those iterations. It doesn't matter though, because there is no way this show should be renewed.
This show turned out to be super stupid. Instead of the boy having dream powers, he's a time traveling omega-level mutant. They really had no idea what they were doing with this show & it really went off the rails in this episode.

No Task for the Timid
Falling Water
S01E09
Season 1 Episode 9
Even though Taka is a cop who lives on the same floor as Tess, he goes through her sister to talk to Tess. So stupid. Then Tess, the mother who desperately wants to find her son, scoffs when he says that he can help & that he has met her son. Then they tried to make that dumb joke about the two of them sleeping together.
Burton found the boy & he finally does the one thing people do when they are lucid dreaming, fly. it has taken 9 episodes for someone to do this on a show about dreaming. It was such nonsense.
Then they had the fat guy & his "purity of data" girl shiver as if that was supposed to be scary. For a show about dreams, they are really uncreative.

The Well
Falling Water
S01E08
Season 1 Episode 8
All of the different people are starting to come together but really slowly. Burton is conveniently not in the office when Tess comes to visit. He also doesn't notice that his sex reporter is on the floor in the same cell as him.
Taka's mom pulls the old, "I left you because I love you" crap.
The fat guy is going around town with Tess like they are old friends instead of him being her employer. It's like they forgot what their dynamic is supposed to be.
Taka told that stupid therapist that he loves her. How long has he known her? A few weeks? Then Burton says that he loves the reporter girl, even after Tess's mom points out how he knows nothing about her.
What a ridiculous show.

Three Half Blind Mice
Falling Water
S01E07
Season 1 episode 7
No dreams in this episode & somehow it's even more boring & makes less sense.
Tess, who is crazy about finding her son, is with the detective at her sister's apt & he tells her that he has seen her son & that he dreamt about her son. So what does the girl who is desperate to find her son & has the ability to enter other's dreams, do? She leaves the apt! She doesn't ask the cop about her son or try to enter his dreams, she leaves the apartment!! The one guy with concrete evidence that her son exists & she leaves him to drive off with the fat guy. This show is even more stupid than FTWD.
Because the show isn't bad enough, they decided to go SJW, I guess to improve ratings. The dream sex girl starts the episode talking about "3 white men" & then Bizzy, the girl dreaming about Woody, says she's being dream-raped & after Bizzy shoots Woody IRL, he decides to listen to Burton and is going to tell the police that he was mugged by two white kids. Because his fancy apartment building doesn't have security cameras that will show what really happened. But now we know who the villain of this show is: white men.
Normally I'd stop watching, but this show is so stupid, I want to see how they wrap it up.

The Swirl
Falling Water
S01E06
Season 1 Episode 6
They confirmed everything I figured out last week. They finally showed a dream that's like a real dream but it's taken them too long to show something so mundane yet so disorienting.
This show will put you to sleep so you can dream something that is more entertaining than this show.
Tess's mom helped White Ocean steal her baby & the green sneaker assassins hang out with Taka's mom. I guess his mom ate his food when he was a kid so he was pulling the same routine in the diner?
Burton's sex girl is a prisoner of White Ocean somewhere but for some reason never told him or asked for help? He talked to Tess in the diner but somehow they didn't recognize each other? Burton clearly knows invading dreams is possible but he didn't talk to Tess. So dumb.

Ambergris
Falling Water
S01E05
Season 1 Episode 5
So her non-existent son is some mutant that White Sands are selling to international bidders. I don't see why he's so valuable, apparently wearing green sneakers or dreaming about green stuff let's you control your dreams & all sorts of people can share dreams on this show.
Maybe it's because the kid can live in the dreamworld & dream things into coming true in the real world. That's why he can only be found in dreams but not IRL.
But this isn't interesting. When the black guy quits his job after the pothead vanishes from his car. Was he asleep? Did it really happen? I don't care.
The cop is still pursuing that therapist after she told him he's never going to have sex with her. What a pathetic loser he is. Any normal man would talk to the blond neighbor, he's dreamed about her & saw her when he was investigating a crime. So dumb.

Castles Made of Sand
Falling Water
S01E04
Season 1 Episode 4

The show is boring. They think slow motion & multiple takes of the same scene is what dreams are like. They aren't.
It seems like the dreams are now predicting the future. I know people IRL who think that they do, but I don't. It doesn't make sense that Taka didn't ask his neighbor about her being in his dream, especially once he saw that the dream assassin knew what he was talking about it.
The detective dreamed that the therapist was attracted to him & dreamt about watching her masturbate, so he hits on her IRL, she invites him up & like the dream she tells him to watch her use her vibrator but instead of being a man, he actually stands there like an impotent peeping tom watching her. How incredibly desperate must he be to put up with that. Then cop's mom screaming when the therapist orgasmed was gross.
I loved when the drug dealer called Tess Goldilocks. There has never been a better description for girls who enter a place they don't belong, complain about everything & then pretend that they are the victim. That was the best scene.
Do green things give people dream powers? When burton had the tennis ball he was able to make that surfboard girl disappear.

Monsters, Most Familiar
Falling Water
S01E03
Season 1 episode 3
Once again people on this show act like sharing dreams is a normal thing. The black guy asks his dream lover if they are sharing a dream. Nobody would ever jump to that being an explanation for anything.
The 3 people finally met up in the weird restaurant but it didn't make sense that they all stood there while the Beligian was murdered by the dream assassin.
The slut's agent never answered the mom's question. It seems like the answer is yes, she's banging her agent.

Calling the Vasty Deep
Falling Water
S01E02
Season 1 Episode 2
They showed a lame Inception experiment with people sleeping in a totally un-scientific & not medical environment. There was no device & no drugs to link these people but somehow they all have the same dream. They didn't mention that they were genetically disposed to do that & the only training the fat guy mentioned is lucid-dreaming, which does not make people share a dream. It would have made more sense if the purity of data girl had given them all the same scenario to dream about & gave them headphones with someone constantly describing it. As it was, it was pretty dumb & unbelievable.
Nightmask-girl is not interesting, just another girl on tv who wants to be a mom but is banging randos & doesn't have a real job.
Burton is not sure if he was dreaming or hallucinating his ex. I forget what she is supposed to be, but he's turning out to be an abrasive jerk.
The cop story could be interesting if they focused more on the woman in the chair, I already forgot who she is.

Don't Tell Bill
Falling Water
S01E01
Season 1 Episode 1
It tried too hard to have clever dialogue, especially with the corporate security guy. It ended up sounding forced & lame. 'Buy me a suit,' then Burton tells the guy to go away? Lame.
The falling water should be used to let us know if we are watching a dream or the real world, but it's used inconsistently & there is no difference with how the scenes are shot to let the viewer know what we are watching. I'm afraid the whole show will be a dream & they think it will be some kind of shocking twist like St. Elsewhere but it will just be annoying.
Burton & the graphic designer, Tess, live in the same building, maybe the detective does too. otherwise i don't see how these people are connected.
Is this supposed to be the near future? The fat guy from Revolution just assumes that Tess has Nightmask powers, it didn't make any sense that he would assume she could do Inception without any tech. Also, the uniform cop from the beginning read Bonfire of the Vanities?
