It was pretty obvious where they were headed with the lesson but it was still good.

Snails! It was cool to see Snails have a bigger part on the show, helping them out. I'm glad they didn't use Rarity or Twilight Sparkle. It also made it cool that they are friends with boys once in awhile.

I didn't know Ponyville had it's own colors. Of course Snails Fluttershy & Pinkie Pie were not wearing uniforms with those colors, so it was a little weird.

Another song. This season has so many songs!

Spike the Brave & Glorious made friends with a changeling. I forgot that they could talk. So Changelings feed on love? When they do that, do Ponies get weak? 

They made friends with one, why didn't anyone try this before?  Of course, this might be a bad idea to turn another enemy into a friend. I was wondering if he was going to be a spy for awhile, but they wouldn't do that on a kid's cartoon.

I liked that Spike realized he let down his new friend & that Twilight Sparkle supported her friend Spike in this episode.

Cookie zombies! 

I didn't think that they would use the word zombie because it might scare kids but they did. Some of the pranks were funny, but some weren't. Ii didn't think that Fluttershy would help out considering that she didn't enjoy Nightmare night. I guess she made an exception to teach Rainbow Dash a lesson.

I need to dress up as a Pony cookie zombie now.

I thought that the Cutie Mark Crusaders were going to switch partners when they were at the top of the hill,  I didn't expect for there to be a car crash! That swan care was cool. So was the rooster car!

Derpy won most original!! and she has a sister!? What? I need to see if she is cross-eyed too.

The cars were pretty cool. They didn't actually learn physics though. What was that weird font that Miss Cherilee had on the board? Snips & Snails in the back. How funny to see Bulk Biceps there.

Rainbow Dash was reading a Daring Do book in the Flutter Brother episode & now we are at a Daring Do convention! It was pretty funny that they even have one. I wonder if little kids even understood most of what Quibble Pants was saying. But the good part is that they were talking about books.

Caballeron! He's like Señor Senior Senior, Sr.

The best part of the episode is that even though Rainbow Dash & Quibble Pants each liked different things about the Daring Do books, they realized they could still be friends & disagree. That should have been emphasized more & spelled out, so more kids & adults realize it.

Indian ponies! How cool was that. They even looked Indian. It looks like elephants are real on Equestria. Are they sentient like ponies?

Another song! It's too bad it wasn't a real Bollywood number with random Canterlot ponies dancing along, that would have been awesome. 

Even so, I liked the tourist ponies & how that food reviewer knew who Rarity was! Pinkie Spin spinning an arrow was really funny. I really am in the mood for Indian food now!

Oh no Zephyr Breeze is a hipster loser! (That was redundant) he was lazy & had terrible style. Mane massage? 

Then this loser was flirting with Rainbow Dash, well more like assuming she has a crush on him. He's such a loser. He has stubble & everything. I wonder if they modeled him on a real hipster. At least Rainbow Dash actually hit him with lightning! Ha, he was singing too.

Fluttershy was great in this episode & had good advice.

Rainbow Dash at the spa! That was funny that she has a "usual" treatment. I like how Rainbow Dash was wearing turtle slippers!

That is a long list to feed the pigs. That was funny how Applejack was doing so many silly things like scaring the pigs & the chicken dance. Ridiculous.

DJ Pon-3 is a girl, why didn't I realize this until now. Duh.

That bouncer was funny, keeping Rarity out of her own place.

So weird, a pony with braces & spoon clothes.

I liked how they referenced the Pinkie Pie clone episode & there was a clone behind her!! That was hysterical. That Manehattan pony was there again. She reminds me of Nanny Fine.

This was a pretty good Christmas Carol, Hearth's Warming Carol.

I liked the tweaks they made to the Christmas Carol & it still worked. Derpy is back! I haven't seen her in awhile. That was totally Professor Snape.

There were so many songs, I like that they used Princess Luna.

Starlight Glimmer is still here & still learning.

This was a bad episode.

The nicknames, also weren't cool. That is just bullying, even if all the Wonderbolts have a mean-spirited nickname, it doesn't make it ok. I can't believe they endorsed insulting nicknames & hazing. 

The lesson in this one should have been different. Rainbow Dash needed to work as part of a team, not try to stand out or be unique. Instead Spitfire told her to not showboat, but that's not really the problem that Rainbow Dash had. She really didn't get that she needed to be part of the team & not stand out. That's why they all wear matching uniforms & fly in synchronized patterns.

I guess after dealing with Starlight Glimmer, they felt like they shouldn't endorse conformity? But really they should have pointed out, that sometimes it's necessary to be part of a team & work with others. You can't be a special snowflake all the time.

Trixie's back! If Trikie & Starlight weren't good now they could assemble a Legion of Doom of Twilight's enemies! I like that they became friends & Derpy's back!! & DJ-Pon3 so funny that twilight said the 3as though it isn't an E. Cranky Doodle Donkey is so funny.

"How do you get your hair to do that all the time"

It looks like Twilight's 1st lesson for Starlight Glimmer should be to not use magic to get what you want. or respect personal boundaries because she made Big Mac talk & was not understanding how to do things without magic. 

At least Twilight apologized. Twilight Sparkle needs to be better at these lessons, she only gave Starlight Glimmer 1 day to make a new friend? That is not enough time. It's not easy to make friends.

Dragons!!

I like that the dad dragon didn't exclude Princess Ember because she was a girl, but only because she was small. Which is a little strange, because most of those dragons were small. The Dragon Lord was the only one that was huge but maybe once you become the Dragon Lord, you become larger? That wasn't clear & the whole point of Twilight going with Spike was to learn more about dragons!


I like that the ponies don't know anything about dragons, but that brings up the question of how did they even get their hands on Spike & why aren't more ponies scared of him?

I didn't like that the dragons called their world Equestria, instead of calling it Dragonia or something. I think that's an oversight by the writer.

I always thought the Cutie Mark Crusaders getting their cutie mark for helping others was a bad idea. I said it when it 1st happened. 

This episode was ok, but it was kind of sad. Apple Bloom was all alone & discovered that they don't really have anything in common. But it was a good message about growing up. 

I do like that even though Sweetie Belle was terrible at crochet "knitting's poorer cousin" she still enjoyed it & made the costumes for Tender Taps dance recital. So that was another good lesson.

Bulk Biceps in their headquarters was pretty funny. So was Salvador Dali, Picasso & Andy Warhol!

The Gift of the Maud Pie

I noticed in this one that Maud is also silly. She calls her pet rock, "boulder" & when she left, told it to "play nice" with that huge rock in Central Park.

The Manehattan map turning out to be Pinkie Pie was funny too. One of those background ponies I remember from the last Manehattan episode! I had to re-watch it but they had the two ponies from Plane Trains & Automobiles on the Friendship Express!!

That skinny Manehattan pony looked really weird. nothing like all the other male ponies.

The Crystalling - Part 2

Season 6 Episode 2

Sunburst is not a wizard after all, he's just a pony who knows about magic. I thought he might have the same book in his library, but he knew how to combine all the spells & save the day! That was a good lesson too. I like how despite all the action, Twilight still did not forget about her pupil. She felt bad about not being there for Starlight Glimmer. I also like how Spike is now the wise adviser helping everyone.

Starlight Glimmer with her recap story, so funny.

"Well, you don't know what it was like to be left behind! And then getting so bitter that you steal the cutie marks from an entire village and then get defeated by Twilight and her friends, so you travel through time to get back at them, but they beat you again and teach you about friendship, but you're so terrified ponies will find out what you did that you can't make any friends!"

I also like how they all became crystalline at the end of the ceremony.

Twilight and Shining Armor's parents Twilight Velvet and Night Light showed up late to the Empire, but they didn't look old & I totally do not remember them at all.

The Crystalling - Part 1

I liked that the crystal ponies really do think of Spike as a hero & that the light reflections in their eyes are crystals instead of ovals.

Twilight's list was long but it seemed to be lacking in some stuff, like understanding that sometimes people change. It sucks that Sunburst didn't even remember Starlight Glimmer. It makes it seem like she was right. 

Oh no, that crazy alicorn baby destroyed the crystal heart! Why did they even introduce a baby alicorn? It doesn't make sense, they could have had the same story with a unicorn baby. Now the crystal empire is going to be swallowed.
