Everybody Runs

Minority Report
S01E10

I wish Wally or Blake had said "Everybody Runs."

Andromeda noooo! It's too bad she never really got to speak. I like that they showed that Arthur cared for her & she wasn't just hired muscle. I also liked that Wally took care of them even at the end, making sure they are safe. I thought it was funny that Agatha said "in the flesh" as in 'I'm not a movie projected onto a balloon.'

They had clear cellphones which was new for this show but Nina Sharpe had one years ago. They can extract a suspect's memories? Why bother with an interogation? Maybe they are only allowed to use that if the suspect ends up in the hospital & it's a standard medical procedure, like a blood test. Another medical ethics can of worms. Why didn't they use the snitches when they went into the bunker?

The facial recognition thing really bothers me. The movie had retinal scanners everywhere & I don't remember them ever mentioning that it was outlawed so if makeup messes up the facial recognition scanners, wouldn't someone ask Akeela why she is always wearing it??

It was a pretty good season finale, taking care of part of the Memento Mori story & also the Defense Intelligence Agency story, while still leaving room for more episodes. The only problem was that they didn't show Lara in the vision that Agatha had. Hopefully they will make more episodes, it could be a summer show. & the DIA could try to make more pre-cogs, instead of chasing down those 3, they are getting old.

Memento Mori

Minority Report
S01E09

The geneticist raised a lot of good points about pre-birth genetic manipulation. The medical ethics on this show have not really been addressed before. I mentioned it when it was part of episode 03. I don't know if they should get into that kind of stuff, because there are no easy answers & it's only 45 minutes long.

Blake also brought up some good points about their secret. I like that they aren't taking rigid black & white positions on this dilemma & even Vega changed her mind about working with Dash.

I like that they apparently cured cancer. Vegans should like this episode, future-meat does not come from animals. It was't clear how the karaoke game works; Was dash actually singing? why didn't his bracelet warn him?

How are they not always searching for unidentified faces? shouldn't that be a constantly running search? (I cant believe I'm ok with even less privacy on this show)

I'm hoping that image of Lara saying "put them in" is her smuggling them in a box to escape the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The American Dream

Minority Report
S01E08

The only new technology we saw this time was 3D fireworks, which were not that impressive. Using drones to deliver drugs is a brilliant idea & I'm surprised drug dealers aren't doing it already. The amnesty day was an interesting idea, especially the 14th amendment being repealed. Does that mean that Blake had to apply for citizenship even though he was born here?

I like that Blake found out about Dash, it means he won't be so annoying anymore. I also like that they ran through all the scenarios and what would happen if others found out.

The crime story didn't make much sense. The delivery guy was intent on getting the package back why? Why did the octopus guy take it in the 1st place? Unless he wanted something else that was in the delivery bag. The Memento Mori book was reported stolen 6 months ago so who stole it from the bad guys?

Honor Among Thieves

Minority Report
S01E07

They didn't have any new technology in this episode. Vega activated her contacts to find Dash's blood & used some sprays. They used the snitch, (I still think they should have kept the spiders from the movie). They should continue to re-use the tech they have already introduced.

I also liked that the government told them to disappear instead of placing them on Fiddler's Neck, which makes sense so their location couldn't be leaked.

I didn't think they would cut off his finger but then I remembered that they can re-attach things now, so in the future it would probably be easier & it was. I know nothing about jewelry so I'm hoping Red Diamonds are some new future diamond like the GMO corn they mentioned without showing? They should do more of that.

I liked that Vega punched him for getting her partner kidnapped & then lying to her about it. "Why are people always punching me?" Her orange racing jacket was ok, but she looks better in red.

Fiddler's Neck

Minority Report
S01E06

Instead of a Malaria vaccine they should have killed all the mosquitoes. Now they have to show one of those 4 foot long corn stalks. Marijuana is legal but tobacco is illegal, lolwut?

I guess Agatha was smart not to trust the local militia. I liked that there island used to be a peninsula, but based on what they showed, there should be more of those islands.

Agatha didn't stay with that dude, because she saw his future with his wife. It's like she didn't learn that they can change the future, that was the whole point of the movie. Akeela hitting Wally was stupid. Another psycho girl who can't stand getting pwned. Cry harder, noob.

The Present

Minority Report
S01E05

Light-up police badges, very nice, although present-day cops have body cameras so it's hard to believe Vega's dad didn't have one, unless it was in the badge & the battery ran out?

We found her dad's murderer. That's good. In the prison Vega did not believe in rehabilitation but then at the end I guess she changed her mind.

I liked that the DIA guy was understanding about her dad's murder. Made sense. lol, they totally ignored Akeela. Did not see that punch coming but that means that Arthur lied when he said it was Vega's name & not the kid.

Fredi

Minority Report
S01E04

They finally showed the retinal scanners. I was wondering why they didn't show them until now. The retinal scanners would have made it impossible for Dash to be running around so I was hoping they would say something like, "they were outlawed" or limited.

They had to do eye transplants in the movie so it's pretty crazy that 3d printers can make eyeballs, especially cloned eyeballs! Hopefully the technology is regulated. I don't think a tattoo would stop facial recognition?

Dash was pretty smooth with Fredi for someone who misses social cues. I guess he connected with her because of their painful pasts that involve their siblings. I did like that Vega was acting a little jealous when he went on his date. There should be a manual override for those contact lenses. That doesn't make sense that they allow people to turn them off. Dash talking her out of killing that dude was more evidence that "there's no fate but what we make" & that pre-crime had some flaws.

Now the Agatha stuff from last episode makes sense.

Hawk-Eye

Minority Report
S01E03

They showed the mag lev highway but I'm pretty sure the police were able to take control of your car in the movie even before Hawk-Eye? Maybe I need to re-watch the movie. More new technology. A blue light on the floor that takes you where you want to go & speeder bikes!! They actually rode on a speeder bike through Endor. That was cool.

So they don't just have marijuana coffee, they have marijuana breath strips. Relax, bro. He could have used those during his interview. Now he's officially part of the team, so that's good. Not sure what Agatha is up to with Ethan. She's a witch!

I was also surprised that he saw a suicide, I'm glad they explained that it was actually a murder. Although shouldn't that bring greater scrutiny on that psychology technology?

Mr Nice Guy

Minority Report
S01E02

So it's basically Medium / Sleepy Hollow because his visions aren't accurate.

Even though I loved the design of the Taxi, I don't know why they keep introducing new technology. The floating softball, the motorized unicycle & the okcupid bracelets. How do those even work? They breathed on them & I'm guessing it pulled up their okcupid accounts to see if they match? "Get a room" says the bracelet, so why would anyone even need a book about seduction techniques?

Those phone mannequins are so weird. Did Agatha feel it when he grabbed her hand? I did like seeing the sick stick. I totally forgot about those. So in the future hardly anyone writes or reads books? Do they mean everything is video?

I like how Vega is avoiding the "destiny question" by catching criminals in the act.

Minority Report Pilot

Minority Report
S01E01

When I started watching episode two, the "previously on" segment had scenes that I did not see in the first episode. It turns out I watched the un-aired pilot. So I had to watch the 1st episode that was actually on tv.

So what's the difference?

The Unaired Pilot started with Dash doing the voiceover & his brother not appear at all. Instead the IT girl found out that the birdman owned a farm, not a mall. They went to the farm & figured out that it was the daughter who planned to kill the mayor with 1 pigeon, not the entire crowd. They stopped her outdoors on an overpass using the glove controller. She was arrested & nobody died. They also didn't show that much of the city at the end.

I think the Unaired pilot was better because they already told us the birdman was sometimes delusional, but in the normal Pilot, he was totally lucid. The Unaired pilot used the Nintedo pigeon glove at the end, which we saw on the roof, but the normal pilot did not. The Unaired pilot also didn't reveal that much about his siblings the way the normal pilot did.

Minority Report

Minority Report
S01E01

I like that this is a direct sequel to the movie. Even thought it's 10 years after the movie I don't think they should have introduced even more new technology. the movie had plenty as it was. It just makes the show more expensive & harder for the crimes to be believable. They aren't even doing the retinal scanning correctly nor the air-tablet. Hopefully they will have some arguments about the ethics of pre-crime.

This show looks super expensive, I hope it doesn't get cancelled. Almost Human was a way better show & that got cancelled. This show is not as funny or interesting as Almost Human. It's just Sleepy Hollow in the future. Which is ok, because the man isn't married so he could be a love interest & then it could get better.
