So they retconned Oliver into being a pyromaniac. But they messed because Charlie said that if he set off that substance, Mara wouldn't get out of there alive, but her & Charlie did. And the EMT's pulled Oliver out on a stretcher so he wasn't dead either. Although, we clearly saw him go into Reverie just as the fire started. I guess he's the one using Mara's log in.
I don't like how none of the people who were still in Reverie were harmed by the shut down. That was stupid. Also how do they not have Disaster Recovery systems in place? My company isn't that tech heavy & we have back up servers off site just in case of a disaster like that. Fail!
This was still a pretty good episode & I'm glad they brought back Monica Shaw. Oliver was right, the fact that he could induce a Reverie & prevent someone from escaping shows how they are already out of control.

Season 1 Episode 9
So Oliver is evil & wants to burn down Onira-Tech because there can only be 1 good white man on this show. He is right though, that the company is out of control with the government altering it & Mara getting hurt.
I like how Mara isn't the goodie goodie she made herself out to be. She couldn't save her sister but she was able to get Ray to try to kill himself. And Charlie lied to her about it. I guess Chris isn't that good of a quack. What a surprise, they are all incompetent quacks.
I don't know what she wants to do going into Ray's mind. Does she want to apologize? hopefully this illegal operation with Paul injecting him with the CBI gets him fired from Onira-Tech & get the company sued.

This episode was ok.
The Shady Pines guy said that all his residents would just be in reverie & never come out. They got close but didn't really address what I've been saying. Charlie was being really smug & not understanding at all. There has to be hundreds of people like Pilar.
I like how it wasn't about Pilar's love story but about rescuing the 4 girls. How did old Pilar get her hands on the doll? Did the little girl drop it or something? It's great that they were able to find the 1 girl that she rescued.
Mara has been hallucinating Chris all this time?! I totally did not see that coming! He said 3 days ago. So was she just abusing herself like Baltar did on Battlestar Galactica?

After the Stitchers episode, this time they are using Reverie to do what they did in Altered Carbon, using virtual to interrogate & torture people.
Stupid Nara just released the kid without knowing for sure if he's innocent, she's like that dumb Elin Ersson.
I hate these kinds of episodes, almost every show keeps making them now. They make the US government seem evil when it's just trying to protect it's citizens. And all the muslims are all innocent little angels, who are mistakenly arrested. In this episode they just gloss over the attack on the army base, because Ehmet is just an innocent little boy & Drew Sullivan, the cis-white male is the real bad guy.
Boo hoo, the poor little refugees, stay in your country & fix it.

This was a good episode. They need to do more of these kinds of episodes.
Each episode should be more about whatever patient Mara is trying to save. Sure, her story is good too, but I want to know more about the people stuck in the Reverie. If it was real, there would be way more people choosing to stay in there. Why would anyone live in the real world, instead of their happy fantasy world.
Paralyzed & sick people especially. I'm not sure how Holly was able to create Sadie with a personality & features like her dad, but this show glosses over things like that. But whatever.
At least they brought up the idea of just turning the thing off. Alexis is right, it shouldn't be a suicide machine. If people found out, that's what it would be used for.

Season 1 Episode 5
This was basically an episode of Stitchers, with Mara trying to find out who the criminal was. But everyone was acting all surprised about it which makes no sense. They said that the connection was an implant which means the terrorist had it implanted long before she helped kill all those people.
What was really annoying is how they tried to make you feel sympathy for this terrorist by having her mom there crying & the show tried to absolve the terrorist of responsibility just because she's a girl. This was just a bad episode because of that.
Plus they named the terrorist Silas? That was really stupid & not funny. Just because Mohinder is on this show. Heroes focusing on Silas & trying to redeem him, is what ruined that show.

I wonder if they planned any of this show. It seems like Paul, Charlie, and Alexis keeping secrets from Mara is how they are going to explain each time they introduce something new on the show.
Seriously, how is Dark Reverie not the only use of Reverie? That would be the only reason most people would buy it, to do illegal & immoral things that they couldn't normally do. Seems pretty dumb that people would be using it for innocent day dreams & fantasies. Planning a heist is something that doesn't seem like something they would prohibit. That spy woman from last episode would probably have to do something similar in one of her adventure stories.
I'm supposed to believe Oliver tried to burn down Alexis's house? That seems far-fetched & easily verifiable in the news, even if she didn't call the police.

Season 1 Episode 3
This episode wasn't that good. Paul had an abusive father, I'm sure either Mara or Alexis will be revealed to be a lesbian in a few episodes. These 2 things are now-standard tv show cliches. It's sickening.
It's dumb that the program makes weird unrealistic things that it thinks you need. If Nate paid for an escapist VR adventure where he's robbing banks, an evil road warrior mutant who tortures him is not part of it & he should sue them for that. That didn't make any sense.
The ending was a little shocking that Mara was in a reverie. Either that or she is really starting to lose it.

They said Rachel had heart damage but Mara sure was talking her sweet time trying to get Rachel out of reverie. I don't know why they used the German pronunciation, the dutch word for father is vader. Duh, that's why The Emperor called Anakin, Darth Vader, it means Dark Father.
I like that there are so many damaged people on the show. Mara with her dead sister & niece & Alexis with her dead brother.
When Rachel had that bob wig, it reminded me of Alias. It would be cool, if they jumped into an old tv show or movie but that would be impossible.

Mara is a mess but at least she cleaned up at the end. But it looks like 2.0 has lasting damage on your brain.
I don't like the tablet that they use to enter Reverie. She never seems to have it when she wakes up. Besides it would fall once you enter the matrix. It should have been a wristband with the kaleidoscope.
I like that Tony wasn't banging his wife's sister, even though they tried really hard to make it seem that way. Of course her white brother in law killed her sister. They are trying to be subtle now, but SJWs are still putting their anti straight white male agenda in every new tv show. If it's not overt, I won't be too bothered by it.
