Through the Looking Glass

Superstition
S01E04
Season 1 Episode 4

May gets trapped in a mirror when she died which was sort of interesting. I've never heard of that one. This episode should have taken place before the last one though. The siren called all these Infernals to town & instead of that, we get this stand alone episode. The show should have spent the 1st season investigating superstitions like this one & slowly built up a Big Bad Guy, instead they introduced the Big Bad & the siren at the beginning. Dumb.

This is the last episode I watch.

It started out with some dead KKK member so Tilly & Garvey start whining that they shouldn't do their job because he was a racist, even though he's dead. At the funeral they immediately assume the dead man's son is also a racist & Garvey wears a "black lies matter" pin while dressed like a black panther. But then the son pees in the urn in front of 3 girls. Just ridiculous nonsense.

How this hypocritical show can whine about the KKK while at the same portraying a black father as a deadbeat even though it's the mother's fault he didn't even know his daughter existed, is infuriating. Instead of giving us a show with a positive black role model, we get this garbage. I just can't watch this garbage anymore.

Half Truths & Half Breeds

Superstition
S01E03
Season 1 Episode 3

You would think a minority show that has most of the cast be black would hire a Latino to play a Latino role, but nope. He had the worse accent when he spoke Spanish. As if  LA & the south aren't filled with Mexicans that they could hire for this role.

The daughter was being super-annoying again. Garvey keeps blaming her dad, even though it was her mother that keep her a secret from him. Calvin didn't know, it's not his fault. Then Garvey had the nerve to complain about people who keep secrets!

The writing is so terrible. Calvin doesn't have a job, how did he stand up May on their date to talk to that guy at the bar? So dumb.

As if it wasn't obvious this show hates men, Tilly said some stupid line about men being liars. Like there are that many black women who like supernatural tv shows??

The Dredge

Superstition
S01E02
Season 1 Episode 2

Another bad episode. At least the father is back from the dead.

But again the writing is so terrible. Calvin didn't abandon his daughter. Why doesn't he say that to her? Instead he acts like it's all his fault that May didn't tell him that she was pregnant. It's so stupid.

It turns out that Bea is some Egyptian priestess & can bring the father back from the dead & they are "incarnates" or whatever? At first I thought they were at the morgue but the morgue is under their funeral home.

Then the bad guy is apparently a super-bad guy who I guess is going to last all season? But he's so lame & boring just like the rest of this show. I gave it another show but it's just a terrible show with terrible acting. Even the boyfriend was bad.

Superstition

Superstition
S01E01
Season 1 Episode 1

I liked that they mentioned how similar it was to Supernatural with the Sam & Dean line. Instead of demons, they hunt Infernals.

This show is terrible. It was so boring & the dad was a jerk to his son. Everyone was just mean to Calvin for no reason. The father, his daughter & his baby-mama.

I'll try another episode but this show seems like it'll be cancelled soon.
