I like how the ponies running the social didn't mind that Big Mac was competing, even though everyone knew he was a stallion in a dress. 

It's too bad they didn't have someone explain to Apple Blossom earlier in the episode that she should appreciate what Big Mac was trying to do. It just made Apple Blossom look like an unappreciative jerk. At least the last scene was good.
