Vanishing Point

Westworld
S02E09
Season 2 Episode 9

This show is so uneven. They were doing their weird 2 week flashback thing at the beginning of this season with Bernard. Last episode was a great episode & this episode was a terrible flashback episode with just William where they ret-conned William's wife's suicide. It was just all sorts of stupid.

Emily blamed her dad with him saying last season that the wife always knew he was a monster & she could see right through his nice guy facade, but in this ret-con garbage episode, she watches footage of William in Westworld provided by Ford. Then the wife leaves the memory card for Emily & I guess she watched it? When? She never mentioned it before. If she had, she wouldn't have said the stupid things she said earlier this season.

At the beginning of this season, Emily was in Safari world banging dudes & ended up in Westworld only by accident because a tiger had the safety off. There is no reason why she would be carrying her dad's memory card. Does she carry it with her all the damn time? It was just really stupid. There was a better way for him to have shot his daughter.

Then they started hinting that these two seasons are all in William's head or that maybe he's a cylon. What a bad idea that would be. Teddy shooting himself was also really dumb. It was all really stupid & made me stop caring about a lot of these characters.

Kiksuya

Westworld
S02E08
Season 2 episode 8

Finally a great episode. I was wondering if they were going to do anything with the Native Americans & they did a great job. I don't like how Akecheta was waking up on his own, but I guess it makes sense that it was slow. It was dumb that the red gloves took away Kohana when she was still alive, but the rest of the episode was great.

Akecheta's journey into a Ghost Nation guy, him searching for the way out. Him talking to other people in his tribe. It was all really good.

"Take my heart when you go."
"Take mine in its place."

I was surprised that he was telling his life story to the robo-daughter but not only was he telling her that he was protecting her this whole time for her having saved his life, he was also letting Maeve know.

The episode is almost ruined when Emily shows up to rescue Black William & calls him a burden.

Les Écorchés

Westworld
S02E07
Season 2 Episode 7

Another stupid episode.

Lawrence isn't awake & seems to be immune to Maeve and her blu-tooth witchcraft, but then she somehow makes him remember some past story where Black Willaim shoots his wife? It would have been better if Lawrence was immune because of Ford. Black William got shot so many times, I don't see how he survives and that sucks because he really is the hero of this show, not Maeve.

I'm glad the Ghost Nation stole the robo-daughter. I hope they kill it in front of Maeve.

Another stupid man-hating scene with the soldier falling for the toaster seducing him. That was the most unrealistic part of the episode. He's been shooting toasters and he puts his gun down to bang one?

It's insane that Delores sent that girl to destroy the back ups. At least when all the cylons are killed it will be over.

Phase Space

Westworld
S02E06
Season 2 Episode 6

Dumb Maeve, they are robots in a story. Of course there would be a new mom now that the Maeve-bot was a madam. I kept waiting for the mom to show up.

Lee is right, he needs to get rescued, these stupid robots don't care about anything & are blindly following Ford's ridiculous programming even now. At least Teddy remembers what Delores did to him, & it sounds like he's going to get his revenge on her. Stupid Delores, isn't that what she wanted from Teddy? For him to be ruthless. Well now he is & he's shooting people without remorse.

It's not enough that the daughter is a mary Sue who can tell what kind of arrows she's looking at, she's also the resident feminist man-hater. She insults her dad, calling him a man-child gamer & rubs his nose in the fact that she's a slut & just insults him. I'm glad he abandoned her while she slept. She's lucky he left 1 of his men to protect her.

I don't know what brain Bernard took, but it's funny how he transferred into teddy.

Seriously, what kind of man is named Ashley.

Akane no Mai

Westworld
S02E05
Season 2 Episode 5

This episode was just terrible. The leader of the bad guys was leaking cortical fluid. Why? The only time we've seen that is with Bernard but that was because he was confronted with the realization that he isn't human, that he's a robot. So he started to malfunction. Meanwhile Davos malfunctioned realizing that he's in a robot body, but there wasn't cortical fluid. Just nonsense.

The shogun guy had his men burn their ears so they can't hear Maeve, but then he was making speeches to his men & ordering them around verbally and they heard him, so unless he taught them all how to read lips, this was another error.

Now Maeve is a witch, she can control the other robots just by thinking? Dumb, apparently, the androids are all bluetooth enabled.

Another episode without nudity, don't they make these actors sign contracts? Delores bangs Teddy & decides to change his personality? What more evidence do people need that she's the villain in this story.

shogun world seemed really boring. They don't seem to be aware like in Safariworld, which means there should be more guests there. Where are they? I didn't see any westerners there. Plus if all the cylons are speaking Japanese until a guest shows up, then how would a guest know what is going on? They just didn't think any of this through. Again, this show is not for sci-fi fans.

The Riddle of the Sphinx

Westworld
S02E04
Season 2 Episode 4

I like that Black William is now in danger. The Cylons can kill him for real now but he is smart enough to know how to play this game.

Ugh, so safari girl is this season's Mary Sue. Not only was she talking about making sure that dude was human before she banged him (which didn't make any sense), she survived an attack by a bengal tiger without safety restrictions & a fall down a cliff and now she can speak Native American. I'm waiting for her to fix the Millenium Falcon & use The Force without training. Why is she even in there if she hates her father so much.

I thought that William was doing market research & was maybe going to blackmail the rich park-goers but after watching him with his father-in-law it looks like they are doing a cross between Dollhouse & Surrogates where they would be programming sick people's personalties into a Cylon, which makes the name "Host" more accurate. That was smart of him.

I don't know why Elsie is trusting Bernard, he's clearly malfunctioning & now there's some secret programming that made him kill the technicians.

Virtù e Fortuna

Westworld
S02E03
Season 2 Episode 3

We already knew there was a feudal Japan park last season, because they showed the samurai suit in the season finale, so that wasn't a surprise. The India safari park would be an interesting park but it didn't make sense that the woman wanted to shoot the guy because they were talking about how they aren't Cylons and the cylons don't do that. She could have just shown him a photo to see if he knew what it was.

I don't get why Delores wanted the Confederados to die outside the fort. That was stupid. What a waste of an army. Just because she thinks not everyone deserves to live? They are toasters, they can each be re-programmed to be what she wants. Bernard did it to that 1 guy in minutes. It doesn't make sense to kill them. With each episode Delores is shown to be nothing more than a mindless murderer who I hope will be killed by Maeve this season.

I like that the writer started finishing Paulo's lines back at him. They keep providing evidence that the Cylons are just toasters, not real at all.

Reunion

Westworld
S02E02
Season 2 Episode 2

The show isn't really exploring what it means to be sentient or the difference between being awake & dreaming or other worlds. It's too bad, because that's really interesting. Instead it's delving into William being an investor in Westworld. Which just doesn't make sense.

Logan invested & made it into a full park before William ever went there, but in this episode William convinced his father-in-law to keep investing in it? Plus Logan was in a room of Cylons, that were fully indistinguishable from humans. That would have taken billions of dollars just to do that. This show really isn't for sci-fi fans.

The best part is watching Delores repeat the same lines. She's a toaster but people still feel sympathy for her. It's ridiculous.

Delores is raising the dead, but she is barely awake & can't even control the damn tablet. She needs the tech guy. I'm surprised Maeve is letting her run wild in Westworld. She should realize that it puts her daughter in danger.

So some weapon that William built, yawn. This show is so over-rated, hopefully this season gets better somehow.

Journey into Night

Westworld
S02E01
Season 2 Episode 1

So it's been 2 weeks since stupid psycho black hat gave Delores sentience & Bernard is with the corporate recue team on some island across some sea from Westworld. Then we jumped back to right after the massacre from last season, so it looks like the jump this season isn't years but only 2 weeks. It won't have the same shock for some people but I guess they are trying to keep it interesting to see how Teddy died.

They are trying to make you feel sympathetic towards these toasters but then they show you the drone hosts with no faces & no eyes, so really, anyone watching this show who still thinks that these toasters should be sentient is an idiot. Not only were they going around killing humans, Delores was even killing other toasters. So now she is a hypocrite too. Instead of giving the Native American sentience, she killed him. She is no better than humans, she's worse. Despite their attempt to make us see from their perspective.

The dude had a good point, that Maeve's daughter isn't real & he wrote the penis insult. Her feelings & memories aren't real. They were written by someone else, like a dream that doesn't mean anything. It's too bad they don't explore that stuff a little more.

The Bicameral Mind

Westworld
S01E10
Season 1 Episode 10

So the dark cowboy is actually William. So dumb, so is the way that Delores regenerates every morning. It's stupid. The fact that they do that, would make everyone just go around killing & destroying all the robot, not just him. She shouldn't have been regenerated, until after William left the park.

So he finally realized she was a robot with no real emotions for him. Then he became obsessed with making all the toasters sentient. What an insane goal. Is it because he wanted Delores to love him for real? Is he that pathetic?

Then they hinted that this isn't the only park, because the location of Maeve's daughter said "Park 1" & we saw samuraii in a room and that her escape was part of somebody's plan. I'm not sure who, maybe the dark cowboy? He killed her daughter, so maybe he was trying to jumpstart the sentience? I don't know.

This show doesn't make any sense, it's really more about watching terrible things happen & trying to make viewers feel bad for the toasters. But they are toasters. Built to do things. Even Maeve screwed over her fellow robots. If they were going to explain anything, they should have explained why that stupid Asian surgeon was helping her.

The Well-Tempered Clavier

Westworld
S01E09
Season 1 Episode 9

What a mess. So the Billy the kid story with malfunctioning Dolores took place years ago before that town was swallowed up by sand but when she was there she had a flashback to an even earlier time. Now she is re-tracing her steps all alone & Teddy is following her. We know this because Billy's fiance is the girl in the picture that Dolores's dad found on his farm in the 1st episode.

It's an unnecessarily complicated timeline but I guess they want us to feel like the hosts do, a little disoriented. Also to show us that the androids were malfunctioning from the beginning, thanks to Arthur.

Billy murdering everyone seemed to come out of nowhere, his future brother-in-law seemed to be sincere about getting closer to him despite the mean things they said & did to each other. I was really disappointed that Billy is so stupid. I guess learning how it's all meaningless made him snap. That's also stupid. People don't just start brutally murdering after 1 night. It's like this show is trying to make nice guys out to be evil murderers waiting to snap.

Bernard is Arthur! Dolores killed Arthur! Didn't see that coming. How were all these things kept secret from everyone?

Trace Decay

Westworld
S01E08
Season 1 Episode 8

I can't believe Maeve slit the surgeon's throat! Maeve was out of control, I don't know why the Asian surgeon doesn't tell anyone. He seems to be incredibly stupid. Why is he helping her & lying to his co-worker. Is he banging her? At least they have that healing foam like on Incorporated.

Maeve was able to change the story by just talking like a narrator, I can't believe he gave her that power. The connection to the dark cowboy was really stupid, plus if she stabbed herself in the lab, that means she was malfunctioning before the reveries.

It makes no sense that the woman they found alive was left there for them to find.

D'oh, Teddy remembered how the dark cowboy raped Dolores! The test he designed for himself was incredibly stupid. Isn't being lawless what most people do there? Besides shooting a robot girl is shooting a robot, it's like shooting a mini-fridge. It doesn't matter.

The anti-male nonsense in this episode was off the charts. The dark cowboy was a loving husband & father for 30 years, he was a philanthropist but his wife killed herself because he was so nice, she thought, he might, some day, maybe, do something bad? And his daughter agreed with that? That was the stupidest rationalization for misandry I've ever heard.

Trompe L'Oeil

Westworld
S01E07
Season 1 Episode 7

Lutz is right, someone is going to notice.

"Doesn't look like anything to me."

Bernard is an android! I didn't see that coming. What about that video call he had with Jasmine? Was that fake? Ford is pretty evil & spying on everyone for the blood god. At least he erased Bernard's memory of her.

The board member fired Bernard & it was really obvious that they had re-written Clementine. If anything, she wouldn't be able to be a whore if she was remembering & holding grudges. And in that demonstration, she would have been afraid, not turn into some violent MMA girl.

Of course feminist Dolores had to be rescued by Billy when the Confederados were attacked by Ghost Nation. I don't know why they bother even writing such stupidty, when it's just going to be contradicted anyway. Teddy is killing anyone in his way to rescue Dolores meanwhile she's banging
Billy the kid.

The Adversary

Westworld
S01E06
Season 1 Episode 6

Ok, the underground real world story just got interesting. Elsie found out that the QA lady is a corporate spy! & Bernard found Ford's weirdo family replica.

Maeve is getting herself killed on purpose to mess with Lutz the surgeon . I like how she crashed, like one of those robots from TOS when Spock & Kirk asked those logic questions.

I liked the triple flashlight.

That mesa bar is really dumb. It makes sense for employees but the narrative guy talked to that girl as if she was a guest. That doesn't make sense either.

Again the map is now everywhere.

Teddy is like "you don't know me at all." So now he is suddenly Wyatt's partner & is just after him to save Dolores. It's a good thing the dark cowboy made up that story because Teddy shot all those Union soldiers like it was nothing. It's too bad they don't run into more guests, but like I said, HBO didn't think all this through.

Dissonance Theory

Westworld
S01E04
Season 1 Episode 4

There is no way Bernanrd is talking to Dolores every night, like I thought. So his weird conversation is probably taking place after this season maybe?
It looks like Ford wants to live in Westworld as a god? I'm really not a fan of the way he can control things in there with his mind.
I like the way that Maeve has drawn the surgeons a bunch of times & apparently there are others who remember them too. that's crazy. it sure seems like the other guy who helped start ww put his god code in the bots so they are hearing his voice.

I really don't like how the workers enter the park to clean up. Also they said that the town is the safest place & it get dangerous the more you venture away from it. So the invasion by that guy & his posse now doesn't make sense. especially because they had to stop it when that family was heading there.

The cowboy in black is some big cheese in the real world. He threatened that guy, which raises the question: can guests kill each other? What is to stop them? At first I thought they used electronic bullets to simulate things, but the guns shoot real bullets at the hosts, so why don't those bullets hurt the guests? & what's to stop a host from using a guest's gun? This show is not really well thought out. It's for people who don't like sci-fi.

Contrapasso

Westworld
S01E05
Season 1 Episode 5

I liked when the evil cowboy met with Ford. That was an interesting scene. It looks like you can hurt other guests, but the hosts will stop you somehow. I can't believe he just poured proto-blood into Teddy & revived him.

"There is no such thing as heroes or villains"

I'm finding the Westworld theme park stories more interesting than the story about the founders. The taking of the nitro & the double cross of the Confederados is what I was hoping to see. That's why I think the daily loops are such a dumb idea. If you go out on a bounty hunt & come back to town a few days later & nothing has changed, you would not enjoy your time in there.

I don't like how the evil cowboy had to scalp someone to even find the map but now the map is everywhere, out in the open.

We got 5 episodes before some feminist garbage. Dolores is a great character because she's positive & optimistic, she's normal. Nobody wants her to be some bad-ass gunslinger. The show is already filled with violent people. It's so stupid. what viewer was actually excited when she changed so suddenly? Nobody. Even the human white hat guy she is with has had a gradual change. It was out of character & it wasn't even good English. Nobody uses the word Damsel that way.

Then the lesbian behavior tech calls a surgeon a "perv" for doing the same thing she did & besides. Nobody has a problem with banging the hosts. Plus she is now suddenly into black men. Just stupid SJW pandering. I guess they did it to offset all the nudity in this episode? It's stupid because it never works.

The Stray

Westworld
S01E03
Season 1 Episode 3

It was interesting to learn about Wyatt & now Teddy has a backstory. It was pretty funny when the security guy made a joke about his backstory.

It's really frustrating watching Bernard talk to Dolores. She seems to have 3 modes: analysis, theme park & that weird waking dream where she talks to him. The voice commands aren't consistent so unless the hosts use voice recognition, a guest could accidentally say one of those code words & mess up the host.

So the theme park story line makes even less sense now. The white hat guy from the last episode is still there & now he's going to help the sheriff. So he's obviously there multiple days. It's dumb that they show Dolores doing the same thing every morning while guests are out there over night. It would be pretty annoying if every thing reset every night. How did they do so much work & yet this obvious thing is makes no sense. I expect better from HBO.

This new religious narrative Ford is introducing is apparently as bad as the one the other guy was wanted only it's PC because the natives aren't the bad guys.

I thought they took those two hosts out of the park? But they were back there at Dolores's house & they are all remembering more & more.

Chestnut

Westworld
S01E02
Season 1 Episode 2

Woah, so there really is another level to Westworld. How strange. They clearly know who he is, because he can do whatever he wants.

I really hate the way they don't use key phrases to pull the robots out of character. They used one in the 1st episode to make Dolores sleep & then Bernard inconsistently used "Step into analysis" in this one.

What is Dr. Ford up to? I thought they were going to find oil, but it's some religious story? Thanks to his memory retention program, Maeve had a dream of some past role & she woke up! She was looking at everything! What on earth. 1st Dolores kills a fly & now Maeve knows what is really happening. She's going to remember.

The Original

Westworld
S01E01
Season 1 Episode 1

This was pretty interesting but talking to the bots as though they are dreaming doesn't make sense. It's like they aren't really robots.

I didn't expect the hosts to start malfunctioning in the 1st episode. I expected it to be like Fantasy Island, as they slowly started to go bad, so I'm not sure where they are headed with this show. Malfunctions, sentience?

I hate the name "hosts" they should be called "residents" if the guests are called newcomers.

Does the town reset everyday? Makes no sense if people are going to be there for longer than a day.

Wow, Ed Harris is just evil all the time. Are they aware he is in there?
