So this show is like Time Cop, not Quantum Leap.
They revealed a lot of stuff in this episode like how the professor writes a diary in the future where she got Neil Armstrong's quote wrong, he said "That's one small step for a man."
"So why would you be stupid enough to invent something so dangerous."
The bad guy uses the diary to I guess steal the time machine & stay a few steps ahead of them. So this may not be the 1st iteration of their adventures. Maybe the NSA bad guy isn't really the bad guy, maybe Mason is the bad guy. He was pretty ruthless on You, Me & the Apocalypse.
I didn't think they would, but they actually altered history in the 1st episode! And a pretty big change too. They introduced terrorism so early. I think that would have made terrorism way more important back then & would not have stopped blimp travel. It totally would have changed WWII if terrorism was a valid thing back then. If they don't change things the way Journeyman did, then it won't be very good, minor changes like Amy never being born is lame.
It turns out that The Anarchists Black Cross is a real thing.
